About us

In 2015 Scott & his wife, Karine, had a desire to bring long-term rental opportunities to members of their community and this culminated in their first LTR in South Haven. After acquiring several more before pivoting into the Kal-Haven Outpost and then the Historic Hotel Nichols, both in South Haven, they wanted to pursue LTRs with even more velocity to aid in bringing balance to the community that they call home.


South Haven Real Estate was born in an effort to do just that once they discovered the plethora of property management companies that simply didn't fit the bill in offering the services that both they and their tenants desired. Many companies simply wanted to focus on short-term rentals so there was a large gap in services offered in the LTR space. This is where we are today--fulfilling landlord/tenant needs and desires through affordable services and a win-win-win mentality. We believe that the tenant, the landlord, and the manager should all win in the overall relationship each and every month.


Scott received his B.S. in Finance from Northern Illinois University, his J.D. from Loyola Chicago School of Law, and has licenses in the financial services industry as well as his real estate broker's license in the State of Michigan. Acting as a fiduciary in the financial services industry has led him to constantly look out for the best interest of his clients in each and every transaction. He lives in South Haven with his wife and four children: Reese, Beck, Novak, and Wells.
